Yasminah's Gift Of Hope is a support network for parents and families who experience the premature birth, neonatal death or stillbirth of their baby.

Yasminah's Gift Of Hope aims to provide emotional support and relevant aids to families, health care professionals and to the public through our hospitals, the community and our website. We hope to also provide ongoing support to families, create awareness and educate the community about premature birth, neonatal death, stillbirth & congenital abnormalities.

We provide families with the aid of a writing journal following the stillbirth or premature birth of their baby. These journals are provided throughout Australian public and private hospitals or by request through our website to families with a child currently in Neonatal Intensive Care, or sadly just dealing with the grief of loosing their child.

Writing is a fantastic mental health aid that can provide parents and families with time to rest and also bring peace and comfort. It can help to express emotions to celebrate or mourn. It promotes narrative therapy and positive mental health. Helping to combat the distress and helplessness often associated with such a traumatic event. It has been shown to positively impact on reducing emotional abuse, self harm and suicide following the death of a loved one. Most importantly a journal provides families with a place to record the memories of their child. A gift of hope......
